GREG GENTILE- GUITAR, VOCALS
Greg Gentiles love for music and performing live spans decades. Greg has played in many different bands performing different genres but his heart remains 100% rock and roll. In the mid 2000s Greg joined Double Barrel along with Guy and Mike. Rejoining forces in 2026 the trio Hired Gunz plans to bring the noise!
GUY JOHNSTON - BASS, VOCALS
Guys passion for music began early, sparked by a formative experience in seventh grade when he had the opportunity to serve as a roadie for Ivanhoe, a local band led by his neighbor’s son. Growing up around a musically inclined family and witnessing the excitement of live performance first-hand ignited a lifelong dedication to the art of music.
In the late 1980s, Guy became the bassist for Double Deuce, a group that performed actively throughout the region for nearly a decade. Continuing his musical journey, he later joined Double Barrel, performing through the early to mid 2000s and further refining his craft over another decade of live shows and studio sessions.
Throughout his career, Guy Johnston has been driven by the profound connection between performer and audience. “There’s nothing like watching the crowd’s reaction to the music we are playing,” he reflects. “It gives you a great sense of accomplishment.”
With decades of performance experience and a deep appreciation for the shared energy of live music, Guy continues to bring professionalism, passion, and authenticity to every stage he steps onto.
MIKE VESTAL - DRUMS, VOCALS
In the mid 80s Mike joined a funk band during his military service and toured Korea as part of a talent competition. His first show sealed the deal playing live in front of 2500+ people on an airstrip! In 1990 he joined the band Prezence playing multiple venues in and around the Pittsburgh area. Mike started the southern rock band Due South in the late 90s playing major venues for over a decade. From the early 2000s and on Mike played with multiple bands including Double Barrel where he Greg and Guy met. Fast forward to 2026 Hired Gunz was born!
